They make you feel like you are a horrible parent, by saying we aren't feeding our child the right foods, yet both our kids eat the exact same foods and just one has bad teeth.

I could go on and on, but even the way they coordinated everything for us between all of the offices (Dr. Logan performs full sedation from another office) made myself and my daughter feel at ease. Dr. Logan even prescribed my daughter a calming medication to be taken before the treatment appointment as she knew she most likely would need some extra help on that day. No one in NB ever offered this to us or even explained that the decay in this tooth was caused by a defect in the enamel as Dr. Nancy did! Here I thought it was my fault even though I ensure brushing and flossing nightly and as healthy a diet as possible (sugar is EVERYwhere tho these days!)

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Nancy Jeffrey, her associate Dr. Logan and their entire staff after our first appointment (all support staff were very professional, kind and courteous).

My daughter has had a very strong resistance to dental treatment and dislike/fear of dentists since about age 4 or 5 and she is now almost 9. We are not from NS, and in our home province I found it hard to find a dental office where the Dr and staff truly cared to connect with a child like mine who was very fearful and would resist. They wouldn't bother with a calm or patient demeanour, but instead I could tell most felt put off that they had to "deal" with a child that needed to be reassured. They just weren't genuine and my perceptive daughter could tell and would remain fearful. It would break my heart because I also worked as a dental assistant for quite a few years and I knew how to deal with nervous children, but I was no longer in those shoes. I also know dentists and can tell which ones are invested in their patients' comfort and experience and which ones are not. Unfortunately, most specialists we dealt with seemed to just want to sedate their young patients and put little importance on the welcoming atmosphere or relationship.

In our case, we need to consult with an Orthodontist first before knowing the best route to take, and she will need full sedation to be performed by Dr. Logan either way as it will be a more than my daughter could probably handle with just nitrous gas (extract or root canal, etc). However, Dr. Logan and Dr. Nancy both sat down with us after their examinations and explained the situation very professionally, personably, calmly and most importantly, reassuringly, to both my daughter and I.

The worst experience ever. We had an appointment at 11:30 AM and arrived 5 minutes early. After waiting for 25 minutes, we asked the receptionist how long we need to wait for more. She said the dentist was finishing up the current patient and should be done soon. At 12:00 PM, there was a shift change, and there is a new receptionist. At 12:20 PM, we asked the same question and asked why it took too long. She told me that my appointment was actually at 12:00 PM. We told her we confirmed with the first receptionist that our appointment is at 11:30 AM. She tried to say something that she thought my child might need to do some preparation before meeting the dentist. If they told us there are some unexpected events with the current patient, we would be ok to wait for a few minutes more. When we stood up and left, she did not say even a sorry word. My son did not have any food to prepare for this appointment since the morning and has to wait for 1 hour.

And when our kid was ready to go in the room they told us we couldn't go in, even when he was frightened to go all alone, if they say they are a dentistry for children why would they let us accompany him.

Worst place ever to deal with, made appointments inwhich you arrive they know nothing about yet you have the appointment card from them, got several bills from them inwhich they said oh MSI covers this , shouldnt have come to you, called twice about another bill left voice mails msgs no reply an then they put me in Collections.. Unreal would not recommand and want my private dentist office to never send my daughter here again! staff are clueless and careless.. worse place ever!!!

Although, we could not have the full tx performed that day, my daughter felt more at ease than I'd seen her in years at the dentist, and dare I even say HAPPY and proud of herself after her visit! (She had x-rays and separate exams performed by both dentists).

I am so grateful because for once, I can finally stop holding my breath about this long awaited treatment for my daughter. I felt we received a thorough and well thought out treatment plan, and a great first visit that has set the stage for a much more positive experience for my daughter. Thank God!

Well, after searching high and low to try and find an office that offered nitrous for children in NS, I found Dr. Nancy Kennedy's, and yes I was nervous! I had done my homework, but I knew that my daughter would have a hard time if she felt forced and not dealt with calmly, but I talked to her about her own part in cooperating and trusting the dental team as well and prayed all would go smoothly, and it went amazingly well!

it's obvious that Dr. Kennedy and her staff are passionate about there jobs. Dr. Kennedy has without any doubt changed my daughter's fear of dentists (after an absolutely terrible experience at Pinnical dental).
