  The joy of being first. No, not my review, Two If By Sea itself. As one of the first of a new renaissance of businesses in downtown Dartmouth, Two If By Sea is both at least partly responsible for the surge in interest in the downtown, and has benefited greatly from it. There is no better hipster joint in either Downtown Dartmouth or Halifax for a cup of great coffee, and a pastry the size of a newborn, speaking as a non-hipster, that is. Their weekly pastry specials, especially, are a unique experience worth keeping tabs on them through facebook for, including wonderful sweet and savour combinations!

  Delicious chocolate croissants. Coffee is way too acidic for me however and staff is pretty apathetic. Seemed like they hated their jobs the day I was there.

  The croissants are delicious. I also had a decaf coffee (lame, I know) which tasted really good. The guy who served me was really nice too, which is an improvement from the past interactions I've had with the counter staff.

  The decor is nice. Seating is generally available and staff are nice. Location is pretty good as well part of the downtown core. Price was also pretty reasonable.

  The less good. The coffee itself was pretty meh. The overall flavour was of bitterness and burning. The scone ordered tasted pretty stale.

  They're incredible here. The food is amazing and the staff are fantastic.
